Some of you asked me to share my daily skin routine with you; so here I am! I know, you asked me to do a video, but since I’m not that into vlogging (yet? 😜) and more into blogging I decided to just make a blogpost of it.
I have to tell you in advance; I’m quite lucky with my skin, since it’s rather smooth from itself. So if you have another skin type, I don’t know if this routine fits your skin. I do have a sensitive skin, with which I mean that my skin tends to be quite picky about which products I use. So in that aspect; whatever your skin type may be, it would surprise me if you have allergic reactions to these products. (However, it’s up to you to know your own skin!)
I always start and end my day with cleaning my skin (even if I don’t wear makeup). In the morning I do this with Clinique Clarifying Lotion or the new Clinique Pep Start Whipes and in the evening with the Kiehls Ultra Facial Cleanser. Why do I do that? Since I’m not a morning person. The Clinique Products is just take 2 seconds and it’s done, while the Kiehls is more like a little spa @ home experience. And for that I’d like to take my time (which I don’t have in the morning 😂). My evening routine is just a little me-time and your skin instantly feels fresh and soft like a baby. Apply this facial cleanser, massage it into your skin (leave it on a little longer) and rinse it off.
Second step: I apply the Ritual of Light Body cream on my face. I know, I know, this wasn’t made for your face, but I tend to have such a dry skin that this ‘thick’ cream is just perfect for me. In summer, I use a lighter facial cream, since my skin then needs less hydration.
Last step; in the evening (after my wellness moment @ home from Kiehls) I use the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel, and when it’s necessary I even apply some extra Rituals Body Cream.
Optional step; when I’m showering, I also scrub my face. I use the Rituals Sakura scrub (not in the pictures, but it’s this one) and the Rituals Ayurveda scrub. These ones are actually a body scrubs, so make sure that you scrub really gently. Otherwise you’ll harm your skin. I know, I can just buy a real facial scrub, but this one just does such a great job.
That’s it! Wow, stil figuring out how I managed to write so much text about something that only takes 20mins to do 😂 (found my talent, I guess 😜)
PS: If you have any other requests; just mail me / fill in the contact form / DM me on Instagram/FB, I love the fact that you requested this post!!
