Ho, ho, ho! 🎅🏽🎄
Christmas is coming (only 7 days left, I REPEAT only 7 days left!!) and I’m more excited than one can be. Therefore I decided to make some Christmas cookies to get in the mood. 🍪✨
One thing is sure: these cookies can be made by everyone. It’s a super easy recipe and the decoration is all up to you, they’re even delicious without extra toppings.
What do you need:
🌟 400gr a mix for ginger cookies (I know, I know; kind of ‘lazy ass-like’)
🌟 50ml of water
🌟 100gr of butter/margarine
🌟 topping of your choice (I used white glaze and Christmas themed edible decorations)
🌟 put all of the ingredients in a bowl and knead it until you get a smooth dough.
🌟make small circles/squares/other forms of the dough. You can use a small glas/bowl/mug for this! tip: put some flour on your ‘work area’ before you mould your shapes, so that they won’t stick to your surface.
🌟 put it in an oven of 180°C for 7-8 minutes if you want them to be soft. If you want them to be crunchy, leave them in longer. The exact time isn’t really predictable, since it depends on how thick/big your cookies are and how you like them. Mine were in the oven for 8 minutes and they were still soft.
🌟 decorate them! tip: you can easily make your own glaze by mixing some icing sugar and a little bit of water together. Add some edible colorant of your choice and you have your own colored variant.
Have a delicious pre-christmass time!
